Products

Are your products singular unique pieces?

Yes, every multicolour handbag with the specific thread colour combination is only made once. We may create an embroidery with similar colours, but never a replica of an existing embroidery. We repeat single coloured items as a limited edition.

Where are the AGNESTOTH products made?

The design process and the embroidery takes place 100% in-house in our Budapest Studio.Products are assembled in a small workshop in Hungary.All handbags and embroideries are designed by contemporary artist Agnes Toth.

Do you create sustainable products?

Yes, AGNESTOTH is committed to sustainability by using innovative, recycled materials, ethical production methods, and eco-friendly packaging to reduce our environmental footprint while maintaining high quality.

What is the process of creating your embroideries?

The AGNESTOTH embroideries are created through a slow, artisan process in-house at the Budapest studio. We use various techniques, both hand and machine embroideries.

The hand embroidered pieces are created through our bespoke service only, they are not available to purchase online. Please contact us to request information on the process of commissioning a hand-embroidered piece at bespoke@agnestoth.com

Can my handbag be customized?

Only bespoke handbags can be customised. We offer a full bespoke service where you can choose your colours, hardware, handbag shape. Through the Bespoke Service any customisation is possible, contact us to begin your journey of creating a fully customised one-of-a-kind handbag at bespoke@agnestoth.com

How long does the creation of a custom handbag take?

The custom handbags usually take 1-2 months. We aim to ship your finished handbag in 4 weeks, but we will always notify you if completion is delayed. Process time can depend on specific requests too and due to this creation time may vary. The manufacturing time also depends on the selected item, handbag or accessory, and our already existing orders.

Can I order a hand embroidered handbag?

Yes, we accept a limited amount of commissions for hand embroidered handbags. Depending on the design and the level of detail, an AGNESTOTH hand embroidered bag can take 1-3 years. Embroidered by the artist herself.

Hardware

How does the AGNESTOTH turn-lock open?

To open the turn-lock gently press the flap of the handbag inwards and turn the lock to the right at 45 degrees. The turn-lock only turns one way and doesn’t do a full circle.

To Open: Once engaged, the handbag can be elegantly opened. For smooth pass through, ensure the interior and exterior cube shaped components of the lock remain in a parallel alignment. Do not force the opening, help by lifting the flap of the handbag gently.Refined Use: The mechanism is designed for a graceful, effortless movement, no force is required. You will soon develop an intuitive familiarity with this secure and beautiful piece of artisanal hardware.

How does the Oval shaped Carabiner work? What do I need to know?

The oval shaped carabiner is designed to securely hold the strap of the handbag. These oval carabiners allow the straps to be interchangeable. You can use your handbag without the straps, or by changing them as you wish for the specific occassion.

To Release the Oval Carabiner: While in the secured position, identify the subtle indentation and apply a gentle downward pressure towards the opposite direction to the indentation on the carabiner.To Exchange: Once released, rotate the gate outward to allow for the elegant replacement of your straps.To Secure: Ensure the mechanism is fully engaged and locked before use. The clasp is designed for precision movement; no force is required.

How can I use my straps? Are they interchangeable?

Yes, they are interchangeable. With each handbag you will receive various straps, long short and a pair of chains. You can simply just use the chains with your handbag or add any of the straps the way you wish. This makes the handbags versatile and fit for many occassions. Packaging

Do you really ship in wooden boxes?

Yes, we created custom made wooden boxes in different sizes we use for luxurious packaging.The wooden boxes are painted in our signature light green colour and accessorised with beautiful gold toned hardware, such as a box lock, feet and quadrant hinges.

What material is your dustbag made of?

We package our handbags and small embroidered goods in velvet dustbags decorated with our embroidered logo and a ribbon.

Shipping

Do you charge for shipment in your online store?

No, we ship your order free of charge.

Which courier do you ship the online orders with internationally?

Our orders are shipped with DHL including insurance of your order.

When do I receive my order?

The delivery of goods purchased from www.agnestoth.com is usually carried out within 3-5 business days by DHL. All orders are insured and packed securely.

Delivery timing is estimated from the time your order is shipped.

Dispatch within 24 hours from Wed-Fri.

Orders are prepared and dispatched the same day when placed by 12 p.m. and within 24 hours when placed after 12 p.m.

Orders placed on Weekends or on Mon-Tue will be dispatched the following working day.

Please remember that non-working days and public holidays may delay deliveries.The couriers do not deliver on 25/12, 26/12 1/01 or during the weekend.

We send shipments on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, orders placed on the weekend, on Mondays or Tuesday will be shipped on Wednesdays.

Product Care

Does AGNESTOTH offer repair services?

Yes, we offer a range of repair services for products purchased on agnestoth.com and in AGNESTOTH stores. All products are repaired by our expert artisans in order to ensure enduring quality.If you wish to have your product repaired, please visit an AGNESTOTH store or contact our Customer Care for further information. Not all repairs are possible, however we will do our best to fulfill your request and guarantee the longevity of your embroidered items.

Please note that certain repair services could require an extra charge.

How can I best protect my AGNESTOTH embroideries?

We hope your product purchased via our online store or in our Budapest studio will have a long life and will age beautifully. Please try to avoid accidents, because fire and sharp items can seriously damage the embroidery. On a usual day-to-day use the embroideries will be guaranteed a long life, they are not as fragile as they may seem. But as everything they can get damaged too.

Never place your handbag on the floor, never place it near any source of fire. Make sure you protect it and be gentle to it. Love your handbag as much as we loved creating it. You are carrying a piece of treasure, keep this in mind and wear it accordingly. Thank you.

How shall I store my AGNESTOTH handbag?

It is best to store your embroidered handbag in its original packaging, to avoid any contact from dust, water, or any other source of damage. The dustbag is not only beautiful but practical, it is also best to package your bag in the dustbag when you travel and when you are not using your handbag.

Tax Free

Do you offer TAX FREE shopping?

Yes, we offer tax-free shopping exclusively at our Budapest atelier storefront.

To be eligible for a value-added tax (VAT) refund, you must meet the following criteria:

Non-EU Residency: You must permanently reside outside of the European Union.

In-Store Purchase: The creation must be purchased in person at our Budapest studio. Due to international trade regulations, tax-free forms cannot be issued for orders placed online or shipped directly to an overseas address by our courier.

Validation: You must present your valid physical passport at the time of purchase so our team can prepare the official documentation.

Important Claims Process: Our tax-free refunds are processed accordingly to the rules and regulations of Global Blue. Please ensure you strictly follow the precise instructions provided by our team in-store to claim your refund at your final point of departure from the EU.

Please note that AGNESTOTH is not responsible for unclaimed refunds if a client forgets to obtain the mandatory customs stamps on their paperwork before leaving the European Union.
